I am struggling in a situation where I am really having to apply Habit #5. I am seeking first to understand before I can even decide how to proceed. I guess "Daignose before you prescribe" does apply here.
I agree fully about trying to understand the other side. In dealing with students and parents, we don't know the situations or circumstances that they are going through and I have tried to do more listening to their problems and then seek solutions.
